The Monmouth Volunteer Fire Department provides Fire Protection and services, as well as First Response medical assistance to residents and visitors of Wilberforce and its surrounding area in eastern Haliburton County.

Through cooperative fire service agreements the M.V.F.D. also provides these services to Cardiff, Glamorgan, and Harcourt townships.

The M.V.F.D. maintains two Fire Stations located in Wilberforce and Tory Hill.
